All beliefs have consequences.

This was a sentence my coach mentioned in our mastermind.

All beliefs, whether positive or negative, whether helpful or disempowering, have the power to change the course of your life.

And – even more impactful – your unconscious beliefs, which most of our beliefs are, have created the life you live right now.

  • I am not important and valuable to others, therefore I will never feel worthy of being in a great relationship.
  • I am a burden on others and always in their way, therefore I better just stay in the corner and hide from all the other people in the room.
  • I am wrong and do not deserve to be treated with respect, therefore I will never challenge my boss when she yells at me.
  • I am not smart enough, therefore I don’t even dare to go to university.
  • No matter what I do, I do it wrong, therefore I do not offer to help, which makes everyone think I am a selfish bitch.
  • I am not conventionally pretty, therefore it’s totally understandable that guys treat me like s**t.

Every single one of these beliefs, which are not truths, just beliefs, impact your words, your daily actions, your decisions and even your energetic vibes.

You kind of knew that already, didn’t you?

But did you know that your beliefs also influence your sense of the world?

Your unconscious mind listens to everything your brain thinks, takes it as a fact and then looks for evidence in the world as to why your belief is true. That happens 24/7 and, of course, there will be plenty of proof that supports your belief. So you accumulate evidence, cement your original belief day after day and make your mind go out to look for even more evidence.

The other experiences? The positive ones? The opposite ones? You don’t even acknowledge them… after all, they do not fit into the view of the world your brain is convinced is real.

Yikes.

Here are two pieces of hope though:

⓵ All of this can be changed, of course! 🎉

② The same is true for positive and empowering beliefs! 🥳

The more positive beliefs you create, the more often you think these new thoughts (and do deep inner work at the same time), the more evidence your unconscious will find as to why these new thoughts are true.

How awesome is that?!

Just imagine how fascinating your life will be once your unconscious supports you every second of every day in creating the life of your dreams? 🙌

Before this happens automatically though, I invite you to give yourself the gift of time and begin to think of at least 5 beliefs that will support your future goals. Write them in your diary, say them out loud, record them with a recording device and listen to them as often as you can. Then, go out and look actively for experiences that support these beliefs.

Do that for 10 minutes a day and you’ll see how much your life changes!
