All of us carry around some anger, pain and hurt of the past and they influence our every action.

Resentment and blame take up so much space in your head and they eradicate your love for life and yourself.

Today, let’s do an exercise to make room for good things to enter.

It’s important that you take personal responsilibity, not to beat you up, but to respect yourself and others. So if you have had things done wrong to you, own your part of even being by default, and forgive not necessarily the behaviour but the person.

Let’s add a twist to this forgiveness exercise but doing something instead of simply saying something.

Ready?

– Write a letter and burn it or rip it up. Add all the emotion you have inside, scream, curse, cry and give it your all.

– Write your anger, frustration or resentments on a ballon and let it rise above. This is a beautiful gesture that helps you to literally let your anger fly away.

– Write your anger, pain or resentments on a plate, go somewhere safe and smash it as hard as you can.

This way you are physically and symbolically releasing the negativity and you are really letting it go to make room for love, respect and self-care.
