When you are devoted to escape diet prison and you’ve been on this path for a while, there may come the day you feel like “now’s the time to eat healthy again”.

Or maybe you just heard something a friend said and you felt pressured to “go back to eating healthy again”.

OR you’ve seen a fitspiration post and all hell broke loose inside your “still kinda wanna diet and lose weight” focused mind.

Whatever the cause, the force these thoughts have on your psyche and your life is tremendous and can lead you right back into the dieting/binge cycle that you are so desperately trying to escape.

So, what can you do about it? How can you allow yourself to go back “eating healthy” without it feeling like just another diet. AND do you even have to?

That’s what I discuss in this weeks’ episode of the Escape Diet Prison Podcast.

There are many different ways of approaching the “eating healthy” issue within your healing journey without it turning into just another big diet-related mess. And the way to get to this point of peace of mind might be entirely different than you think or even want.

Curious? Then go ahead and listen to the episode and/or think/meditate/journal about the following questions:

  1. Why do you believe you have to eat healthy?
  2. What does eating healthy even mean to you?
  3. Where does the pressure to eat healthy come from?
  4. Have you given up your diet culture beliefs or are you still cradling them lovingly?
  5. Where is food not neutral for you just yet?
  6. Have you addressed your traumas? Have you healed the wounds that dieting has left in your life?
  7. Is this question of wanting to eat healthier just another way of wanting to control your body and cheating yourself into abusing food?

Love and light,

P.S. Did you know: When you journal, magic ensues.

Of course you did.

It happens because you allow your subconscious to surface and help you to heal what needs to be healed (and that is rarely our weight and our “issues” with food). When you put a pen to paper, you begin to unravel and open doors that remained closed for decades; doors that are waiting to finally bust open.

You begin to hear yourself, feel yourself and trust yourself more and more.

Your self-confidence strengthens, the bar on your bullshit barometer increases and you begin to be yourself, truly, fully yourself no matter how other people react to you showing up as the person you are.
