Another year around the sun and now I’m 32.

32.

Wow.

What a ride this year has been (again).

There were so many ups, so many downs. Joyful events and experiences that brought me to my knees begging for reality to not be what it was.

I’ve laughed so hard that tears were rolling down my cheeks and sobbed so hard, I felt like the world was about to end.

Basically, I’ve been fully ALIVE for another 365 days.

I always get reflective on birthdays, so today, I’m sharing 32 lessons I’ve learned about myself, about life, about family and community. I’ve grown a lot, especially in the last 10 years, but I know that the next year, the next decade (if I am lucky enough to still be around then) will bring more challenges, more opportunities, more reasons to dig deep and get even closer to my core.

Soooo, here are my grand, random and genuine lessons, un-edited, exactly as they flowed from my mind onto the keyboard:

1. If you want to make God laugh, tell him her about your plans. Yup. Yup. Yup. 🎒(even though this is EXACTLY what I do with my clients!)

2. Being a mother is the wildest ride I could’ve ever…., ahem, I was going to write imagined, but I couldn’t have imagined this AT ALL. πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘¦

3. Being my own kind of weird is perfectly fine. I can be weird even if I feel weird about being weird. πŸ€ͺ

4. Things change. They do. Even if you feel like emotions will never subside/ like it’ll never get better, it will. πŸ‘£

5. Audiobooks are a great solution for when you feel lonely and uninspired. 🎧(Oh! You know what else is great? MY PODCAST!!! You can get it here.)

6. Go on the trip, take the challenge, do it even if you’re scared. You’ll never regret chasing experiences. πŸ₯³

7. There IS always enough time. Freaking out about not having enough time won’t help any situation. βŒ›οΈ

8. Forgiveness is hard. So freaking hard. But if you allow to yourself to be gentler with yourself, you can move towards a place of peace. ✌️(I’ve been working with my own coach on this and it’s one of the things that I believe is most important to tackle in healing our relationship with food and with people and I’m here for you when you’re ready to claim your freedom.)

9. I just wanna read books all day every day. πŸ“š

10. Having a (local) community of like-minded people is so freaking important. πŸ‘πŸ’ƒπŸ½

11. No matter how often I promise myself that I will be better about doing my taxes throughout the year, I never will. πŸ’Έ

12. Being an auntie is sooooo rewarding. πŸ‘ΌπŸΌ

13. If you look up, you’ll see something new. Guaranteed. 🌌

14. Ice-cream is always better than cake. Yup, it is. 🍨

15. There are places where my soul is at home. 🏝

16. I still sweat like a horse when I’m doing interviews for the podcast, even after all these years. At this point, I’m embracing it. πŸ’¦

17. You can have a soul connection with people on the other side of the world, like I do with some of my very favorite clients. 🌏

18. There is so much more good, magic even, than there is evil. πŸ’—

19. Talking with people on the phone is not going to kill me. It won’t. Really. ☎

20. Family is everything, but you don’t have to take everything just to keep the peace. It’s OK to walk away. πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ

21. Kundalini Yoga always, always, always transforms my energetic state. πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ

22. When you feel lonely, reach out. πŸ¦„

23. When you feel rejected, reach out. πŸ¦‹

24. When you feel abandoned, reach out. 🐬

25. I don’t need a man to feel whole. 😳Big one for me! πŸ™‹β€β™€οΈ

26. Beauty feeds me. I had to realize this over the years. It’s OK to spend money on decorations and “pretty” stuff “just because” it makes you feel good. πŸ’‹πŸ’Also, I don’t have to reject beauty because the “body” beauty ideal of our times destroys so many women.

27. Giving up is sometimes exactly the right step forward. (It took so much work for me to get here and now it’s what I love to do with my clients, let’s hook up if you’re ready to take the steps to freedom.) πŸ™…πŸΎβ€β™€οΈ

28. Be kind to yourself, be kind to your body. You’re the one you’ll spend the rest of your life with.❣️❣️

29. Riding a creative wave is one of the most thrilling gifts you can give yourself. πŸŒŠπŸ„πŸ½β€β™€οΈ

30. You can totally transform your limiting beliefs and turn them into powerful engines toward living a magnificent life. 🧩

31. We’re allowed to be BOLD.Β πŸ‘‘

32. Not everyone hates me. Yeah, that one. That’s the biggest one for sure. 🎈

Aaaaaand let’s gooooooo. I’m so ready for another year on this beautiful planet. Can’t wait to see what challenges, experiences and levels of JOY are awaiting me.

Thank YOU for being part of my life. Maybe we’ve talked, maybe we have never interacted, but you reading this, you being here means the world. I hope to get to know YOU better this year. I hope you reach out. 😘
