You will never truly escape diet prison if you aren’t willing to do body image work.

There’s a lot of resistance around accepting your body as she is.

And I get it.

Accepting your body in a society where body-perfection is the end-all-be-all state of worthiness and achievement can feel like “giving up” and “giving in” to the “loser” you’ve always been.

It seems as if you’re leaving behind everything you’ve ever worked for and dreamt of, doesn’t it?

The thing though is that it’s the exact opposite. When you fight your body, your appetite, your entire being in order to be “worthy”, you end up losing out on your entire life. You end up giving up decades in the pursuit of thinness and a body you weren’t born to have.

So yes, body-acceptance can feel like letting go of everything you’ve ever wanted and believed AND it’s your chance to finally live your life without obsessing over every calorie you put into your mouth and destroying your body to fit into a shape and form that just wasn’t meant for your body type.

In this episode of the Escape Diet Prison Podcast, Deb and I share our favorite tips and tricks to drop into your body and learn how to truly and unabashedly accept your body the way she is.
