You will never feel worthy enough to start changing your life.

There will always be this nagging feeling that you’re not good enough, that you lack what others have, that you just have to wait a little bit longer in order to acquire some new skill to stop dieting and start living your life.

There will always be something.

The truth is though that the longer you wait, the less likely it is that you will actually take the action that is necessary to heal your open wounds, get to the bottom of why you eat when you eat and begin to dig into the life that you are truly meant to live.

Waiting until you feel worthy will keep you stuck in a life you hate.

Sure, you’re scared. Of course you are.

Changing your relationship with food – even if it is super positive – comes with new situtations, new aspects, new ways of living life. People might not like you anymore. Jobs may suddenly feel too boring. Your hair might not fit your new outlook anymore and other certainly unexpected developments will occur. But these events might also occur if you continued to hold on – desperately no doubt – to the way your relationship to food and your body had been for decades.

If you’re scared of failing, no this: you cannot fail at creating change. You might fall on your nose and bruise your ego pretty hard, but at least you’ve tried and you will have learned. You might gain weight, but what is so bad about that? Nothing! That’s right. You might not talk to your weight obsessed friends as often as you used to but do you really enjoy those conversations anyway?

Change is good. Change is good. Change. is. good.

Don’t lie to yourself by claiming that you are not worthy yet to make a decision, to invest time and money, to go inward, to write and heal. You are worthy. You have  always been worthy. You will always be worth.

Even if you don’t feel it.

So, stop waiting for the magical moment of feeling good enough and begin changing your life now.
